Dr. Cardoza has been practicing veterinary medicine for more than 20 years and has extensive experience in both general practice and emergency medicine. In 2015, she co-founded Autumn Trials Veterinary Center with Emily Gordon, LVT to combine her love of urgent and critical care with her desire to personally know clients and patients.
Prior to opening Autumn Trails, Dr. Cardoza spent more than a decade as an emergency medicine vet in Charlottesville and Virginia Beach, honing her skills in the diagnosis and treatment of animals in distress. She also previously worked in general practice near where she grew up in Providence, R.I. Dr. Cardoza completed her undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University and earned her DVM at the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Cardoza lives in Charlottesville with her husband, son, two Cocker Spaniels and an Akita. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors, including riding her two horses, Monopoly and Ezekiel.
