Autumn Trails is a full-service veterinary hospital serving the Charlottesville, VA and surrounding communities. The practice currently sees patients for routine wellness appointments, daytime emergencies, elective surgeries, dentistry, and work-in urgent care visits from 8am-8pm seven days a week. We will consider both full-time and part-time applicants, and strive to offer a positive culture and work schedule that works for every team member. We generally prefer to schedule our medical team to work in twelve hour shifts, though this can be flexible.
At Autumn Trails, an LVT is an essential part of our practice, and every team member is highly valued and optimally utilized. A typical day has routine appointments scheduled in advance, with a majority of diagnostic/sick visits, and work-in emergencies. Applicants should feel confident and excited to work under the pressures of managing critical care cases, hospitalizing multiple sick patients at once, and supporting our veterinarians through routine and emergency surgeries, including dental cleanings and full-mouth dental radiographs, and helping educate clients on how to manage their pet’s acute or chronic-progressive conditions. The culture at Autumn Trails invites everyone to find their happy-place and work towards the most fulfilling and rewarding role possible. This means a collaborative and fun approach to tackling the work-day. Applicants should enjoy spurts of controlled chaos and welcome opportunities to be self-motivated during downtime.
Autumn Trails supports and encourages LVTs to continue their growth and learning, both in clinical practice and by supporting each LVT with a generous continuing education allowance. Additional full-time benefits include a bi weekly bonus up to $600 extra, health and dental/vision insurance, paid time off, paid professional memberships and participation in our 401-K program. We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply. Current licensing in the state of Virginia is required for this position.
You must be able to advocate for our patients and educate our clients. The right candidate will be motivated, adaptable, professional, and compassionate. We are not only looking for a skilled and dedicated candidate, but we also want you to be a positive culture contributor.
