Shelly Brennaman, Veterinary Technician Assistant

Shelly Brennaman- Veterinary Technician Assistant

Shelly has always loved working with and caring for animals. She is originally from Virginia Beach, where she grew up working at several different horse farms and riding as a member of the United States Pony Club. She attended U.Va for her undergraduate education where she majored in chemistry and French.

After graduating in 2019, she decided to stay in Charlottesville to work while applying to veterinary school. Shelly loves learning as much as she can about veterinary medicine by working as a Veterinary Technician Assistant at Autumn Trails, by shadowing local equine and food animal veterinarians, and by taking extra biology classes.

Shelly can often be found working at a horse farm in Charlottesville and riding Fi, the horse she leases there. In her spare time, she enjoys staying active by doing at-home workouts, hiking, and trail running. She also enjoys drawing, reading classic literature, and keeping up with her French.
