Julie and her family are originally from New York and moved to Suffolk, Virginia in the early 90s. She studied Biology in her undergraduate program and quickly discovered she deeply cared about helping others. After working at 4-H summer camps as an EMT across the state, she settled into central Virginia and took a job working at a wilderness boarding school. There she helped young boys and girls, and their families, change their lives for the better. This boarding school is also where she adopted her dog, Layla. Now Julie is studying to get her Masters in Social Work through VCU online and wants to apply her people skills to helping fellow pet owners find the best care for their pets. In her free time, Julie loves to play tennis, kayak, hike with her dog, and snowboard.
