Client Service Representative Position
Autumn Trails Veterinary Center is seeking an outgoing veterinary receptionist to join our growing team! We are a privately owned, family friendly animal hospital offering top-notch wellness, medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs and cats. We are looking for team members that have the ability to provide our clients with an amazing experience every visit, as we strive to provide the best patient care and client communication around. We are looking for an enthusiastic applicant who can greet every client with a smile, and works equally as well with co-workers. You must love animals AND people! The ability to be organized, multitask and strong attention to detail is required.
Our CSR’s are responsible for the bulk of customer interactions, phone and text communication, scheduling, prescription requests, and taking and leaving important messages for/from the doctors. This is a long term permanent position and applicants should be career-seeking. Previous veterinary or animal experience is a bonus, but we are happy to train the right candidate!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Receive and place calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling, using a multi-line phone system.

Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.

Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, i.e. referral documentation, previous medical history received, etc.

Assist clients by providing necessary instructions, information and invoices, dispense prescription items per the veterinarian’s instructions, and schedule future appointments.

Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates.

Manage the financial needs of the hospital by maintaining accurate balances through collection of client transactions, following cash and credit card procedures , and following proper opening and closing procedures.

Excellent customer service skills and an exceptional level of communication in a professional manner.

Advocate for pets through client education on preventative care, pet health needs, treatment recommendations and all other hospital services/ procedures.

Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets, and other teammates.

Demonstrate the ability to empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.

Must be able to work with a diverse set of clients in a fast-paced environment.

Be kind and know how to have fun.

Must be able to lift patients and carry equipment or other items up to 40 pounds: ability to lift patients and carry equipment over 40lbs with assistance. Endure sitting, standing and walking on floor surfaces for extended periods.

Clean and maintain a tidy reception area.
